OUR CHAPLAIN APPEALS TO NEWMANITES
ONWARD FOR THE KINDLY LIGHT!

"If we only had a few Newmans among our Newmanites" might be the cry of of an Alexander today. Zealous and informed Newman groups among our Catholic laity man the very outposts of Christian defenses! They also guard the approaches to the sanctuary of Truth.
Newmanites, I charge you to sanctify your minds unto Christ! So consecrated, your defense of Christian Truth, today more imperative then ever, is an all out aid for the social as well as the intellectual needs of our dependent fellow beings.
Worthily we have been made to implore and generously we have been given to follow the lead of our Kindly Truth amid the encircling gloom increasing around us. Let the sleepers among us arise and go out into the desert of materialistic individualism to bring men back to the Land of Christian social unity flowing with the milk and honey of love of neighbor.
Onward-forward-Newmanites, to the victory for the Kindly Light!

Rev. William F. Kelly.
