CARNIVAL TO INTRODUCE FIRST INTRA-MURAL SING

Four years ago, the various organozations of WAueens College socially merged and cooperated to make a success of the first Campus Carnival. Each succeeding year has seen these same organizations contributing to make the Carnival the biggest social event of the year. This year, seeking to arouse an even greater interest aand to give a greater incentive to the Carnival's success, the Student Council of Queens College intends to inaugurate the first Intra-mural Sing at the commencement of the Carnival itself. To the winning group will be presented the coveted reward of a large silver cup, to be presented by the dean. For winners to maintain the cup permanently, they must win it at least three times, yet not necessarily in consecutive years.
Each group particiapring will be allowed approximately five mintus in which to do tow songs which will be of their own choice. The choice of songs will range in variety from classical to popular selections. Originality will be desired and looked for when the judges decide the winner.
So, whether you can sing or not and that especially means you too, fellow Newmanites!- take this opportunity to come out and to boost your college group. You have until Wednesday, May 19 to register and until Monday, May 19 to select your songs. All information may be depositied in Mr. Castellini's mail box #131.
